The Roosevelt Roughriders can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Niwot by a score of 48-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Roosevelt also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landyn McCann, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Seppe Salvatore, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Carano, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds. The matchup was Carano's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Archer Buckbee was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Roosevelt's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 1-3. As for Niwot, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Northridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Friday. As for Niwot, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Silver Creek at 2:00 p.m. One thing working in Silver Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
