Coconino extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Oryon Huayhualla. The Coconino Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over the Bradshaw Mountain Bears on Thursday thanks in part to Huayhualla, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Greene, who posted six points along with six boards and five assists. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Crawford, who had 12 points. The dominant performance gave Crawford a new career-high in points. Jayden Blasczyk was another key player, putting up six points in addition to ten rebounds and five blocks.
Coconino is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
