Lincoln Academy won the last time they faced Belfast and things went their way on Monday too. The Lincoln Academy Eagles enjoyed a cozy 66-50 win over the Belfast Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Despite the defeat, Belfast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Trevin Ripley went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Benjamin, who posted 17 points and five rebounds.

Lincoln Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Belfast, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-4.

Lincoln Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Belfast: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
