The Aberdeen Bobcats can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 55-54 photo finish over Raymond. Winning is a bit easier when you drain six more threes than your opponent, as Aberdeen did.
Aberdeen had a senior duo take command as Manny Garcia scored 16 points and Charlie Ancich scored 11 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ancich has scored all season. Isaac Garcia was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Raymond lost, one person who can't be blamed is Christopher Quintana. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with seven steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Banker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Aberdeen's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Raymond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aberdeen will challenge Centralia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centralia is on a three-game streak of home losses, Aberdeen a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Raymond, they will head out on the road to take on Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
