Sidney has gone 7-1 against Walton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Team will square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sidney has five straight wins, Walton has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Sidney was able to grind out a solid victory over Delaware Academy, taking the game 5-1.

Quinton Beckwith made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Nich Hartwell was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Wright, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Walton lost 9-3 to Bainbridge-Guilford on Thursday.
Jaden Serra made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Sidney pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Walton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Sidney's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's matchup. The Team have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Walton, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Sidney continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Sidney's way against Walton in their previous meeting last Wednesday, as Sidney made off with a 16-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Team since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
