Lometa is 7-0 against Lohn since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lometa Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Lohn Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 11 consecutive losses for Lometa and three for Lohn.
Last Tuesday, Lometa had to suffer through a rough 77-30 loss at the hands of Richland Springs. Lometa has struggled against Richland Springs recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 86-22, which was the final score in Lohn's tilt against Brookesmith on Tuesday. Lohn was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-4.
Lometa dropped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Lohn, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Lometa against Lohn in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 85-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lometa since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
