It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Loretto ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They won by a  run and slipped past the Richland Raiders  3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

  Casen Springer was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run. He has become a key player for Loretto: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  three  hits, but 8-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jayden Aaron, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  double.
Loretto's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-14. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Richland, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loretto will welcome Hardin County  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Richland, they will square off against East Robertson at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
