The Fairfield Lions were the 46-35 winner over the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Fairfield falling 56-41. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Fayetteville-Perry found their leader in underclassman Lilly Carlier, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryley Kleemeyer, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Fairfield bumped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Fayetteville-Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will be home for the holidays to greet Lynchburg-Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lynchburg-Clay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fairfield in Ohio (Lynchburg-Clay is ranked 185th, while Fairfield is ranked 465th). Fayetteville-Perry will be home for the holidays to greet Peebles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Peebles focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday.
