The Atlanta Rabbits have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 74-52 margin over Pewitt. The win was familiar territory for Atlanta who now have four in a row.
Defeat or not, Pewitt got some senior leadership from Cedric Johnson who scored 13 points along with seven assists and four steals and Ethan Shaddix who scored 13 points. The contest was Johnson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wesley Smith, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Atlanta is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Pewitt, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Queen City the next time they take the court. Pewitt will head out to face Queen City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Atlanta will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
