The San Tan Charter Roadrunners entered their tilt with the Arete Prep CHARGERS with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. San Tan Charter took their matchup on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-7 victory over Arete Prep. The result was nothing new for San Tan Charter, who have now won five games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Zayden Neill was his usual excellent self, throwing for 281 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, while also rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Neill hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Aguinaga, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Arete Prep still got an impressive performance from Matthew Evans, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown.
San Tan Charter's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Arete Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
San Tan Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against Veritas Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Veritas Prep is ranked 137th, while San Tan Charter is ranked 121st). Arete Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
