Berry is 8-2 against West Mecklenburg since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cardinals will challenge the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Berry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Berry made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Jackson Day, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cardinals blew past the Mariners 18-2 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

The team relied heavily on Justin Williams, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Berry is undefeated when Williams posts two or more runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Tyler Davis was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Berry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, West Mecklenburg was able to grind out a solid win over Garinger on Monday, taking the game 6-1.
Allen German was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Jameel Tahir was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Anthony Echevarria also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
West Mecklenburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Berry, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Berry has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like West Mecklenburg struggles in that department as they've averaged .514. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Berry came out on top in a nail-biter against West Mecklenburg when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
