The Stratford Academy Eagles's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They managed a 76-71 win over Tattnall Square Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jarvis Smith II continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 33 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Joshua Hughes was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Despite the loss, Tattnall Square Academy still got an impressive performance from Antone Johnson, who scored 28 points. Johnson hasn't dropped below 21 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Whit Davidson, who scored 16 points.
Stratford Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Tattnall Square Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratford Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. First Presbyterian Day is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they will be playing at home against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
