The St. Pius X Warriors lost against the Liberty Blue Jays back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Pius X took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Jays.
Despite the loss, St. Pius X saw an underclassman step up: Kate Sell scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hayley Tischinski, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
St. Pius X has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Pius X is on the road again on Monday and plays the Savages at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. As for Liberty, they will face off against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
