The Liberty Creek Wolves will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Sycamore War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Liberty Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Sycamore likes a good challenge.
Liberty Creek put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wayne County 48-20 on the road.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Sycamore on the road against Stewart County on Thursday as the team secured a 51-17 win.
Hicks Hunter went supernova for Sycamore, rushing for 226 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Hunter hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Silvio Rizzo, who rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Liberty Creek is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Sycamore, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
