The North Vermillion Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clinton Prairie Gophers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
North Vermillion fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Attica 41-6 on the road. North Vermillion's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Vermillion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerome White, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 60 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. White was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Tryon, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Clinton Prairie humbled Covington with a 41-6 victory. The win was just what Clinton Prairie needed coming off of a 48-20 defeat in their prior match.
North Vermillion is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Clinton Prairie, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
