The Hemingway Tigers lost against the Kingstree Blazers last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hemingway was dealt a 72-15 defeat at the hands of Kingstree. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hemingway in their matchups with Kingstree: they've now lost six in a row.
Kingstree's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but NAYDIA SHAW led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. The game was SHAW's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was MAKAYLA DUKES, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 steals.
Hemingway's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kingstree, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Hemingway will be home for the holidays to greet Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. As for Kingstree, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
