Halls and Knoxville Central are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2018, but not for long. The pair will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Halls focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Halls was the victim of a tough 60-35 loss at the hands of Powell. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Halls has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jarrell Chandler, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that he grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Colby Comparato, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Knoxville Central at home against Campbell County on Tuesday as the squad secured a 67-35 win. The win was just what Knoxville Central needed coming off of a 81-47 loss in their prior game.
Halls' loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Knoxville Central, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
Halls was able to grind out a solid victory over Knoxville Central when the teams last played last Tuesday, winning 61-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Halls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
