Richland has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Central Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Richland strolled past Chestnut Ridge with points to spare, taking the game 28-10.
Richland's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Dominick Shank, who rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown, and Evan Mccracken, who gained 117 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Central put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 27-21 W over Clearfield.
Jack Dunn and Eli Muthler were among the main playmakers for Central as the former picked up 124 receiving yards and two touchdowns and the latter threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Muthler hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games.
Richland's victory was their ninth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24 points. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as Richland and Central haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Richland commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5.2 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
