The Largo Packers were the 70-22 winner over the Seminole Warhawks when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Largo took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seminole on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Largo has lost by exactly 13 points.
Largo's loss came despite strong showings from Mikayla Paschal and Abbie Lindfors. Paschal dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Lindfors scored nine points along with six rebounds. Paschal is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played.
Even though they lost, Largo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seminole only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Seminole was led to victory by Laney Pearson and Devon Swartz. Pearson scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Swartz scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Swartz has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Follett, who scored seven points.
This is the second loss in a row for Largo and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Seminole, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.
Largo's road trip will continue as they head out to face Clearwater Central Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. Clearwater Central Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Seminole, Seminole and IMG Academy Blue will face off at 3:00 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
