They took a serious blow against Crosspoint, falling 67-22. Auburn Adventist was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-15.
Leading Crosspoint to victory were Momoyo Iwata and Riya Tobosa. Iwata scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Tobosa dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds. Tobosa set a new season high mark in assists with seven. Another player making a difference was Anna Kuske, who scored 13 points.
Auburn Adventist's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Crosspoint, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn Adventist will take on Columbia Adventist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Crosspoint, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sound Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sound Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
