Southern Alamance had won two straight games and Sincere Thompson did his part to make it three on Friday. The Patriots walked away with a 28-15 victory over the Eastern Alamance Eagles with plenty of help from Thompson, who rushed for 165 yards and a pair of TDs. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 127 rushing yards.
Southern Alamance didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cj McAdoo.
Despite the defeat, Eastern Alamance saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Devontia Clark picked up 49 receiving yards and two scores.
Southern Alamance now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Eastern Alamance, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
