After a string of four wins, Shasta's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 8-3 to the West Valley Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 17-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Anna Pe?a made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Shasta's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for West Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Shasta has already played their next contest, an 8-5 defeat against Las Plumas on the 29th. As for West Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-2 victory against Anderson on the 29th.
