After flying high against the Miami Springs Golden Hawks last Monday, the Miami Beach Hi-Tides came back down to earth. Miami Beach had to suffer through a rough 80-45 loss at the hands of Hialeah Gardens. Miami Beach was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-21.
Hialeah Gardens' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Khalil Volel led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. The contest was Volel's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Pupo, who scored 20 points along with 7 assists.
Miami Beach's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hialeah Gardens, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Miami Beach's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carol City at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. As for Hialeah Gardens, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coral Gables at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Gables has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 290 points over their last four matches.
