The Bloomington South Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Harrison Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bloomington South will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Bloomington South's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Friday, when they got past Franklin Community's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Panthers put the hurt on the Grizzly Cubs with a sharp 11-1 victory.
Connor Couch tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Max Surdam was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Walker, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Bloomington South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Harrison came into Thursday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Tri-West Hendricks on Thursday.
Harrison also got a great performance from Chase Gothrup as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.
At the plate, Harrison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Hodnett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Jack Gonzalez was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.
Bloomington South's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Harrison, their record now sits at 12-4.
