The Windermere Wolverines will face off against the Harmony Longhorns at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Windermere 2.5, Harmony 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
If Windermere beats Harmony with ten runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Windermere didn't even let Atlantic Coast on the board on Friday, marking Windermere's second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Mic Streibig looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Windermere let Diego Rodriguez and Sebastian Vargas run wild. Rodriguez scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Vargas scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave Vargas a new career-high. Randy Ruiz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Harmony fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Montverde Academy on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6.
Samuel Castillo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
The victory made it two in a row for Windermere and bumps their season record up to 15-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Harmony, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-4 record this season.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Windermere has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. However, it's not like Harmony struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Windermere came up short against Harmony in their previous meeting back in April of 2021, falling 4-0. Can Windermere avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
