Jackson Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Sparta Academy Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 on Monday.
Huntley Dees and Jacob Criswell were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Dees struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Criswell tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. At the plate, Dees scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Criswell went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Criswell's first of the season.
In other batting news, Landon Jordan was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Willie Dixon also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Jackson Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sparta Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
