Two dominant signal callers in King Boylston and Jack McKissock are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The ED White Commanders will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Oakleaf Knights at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, everything came up roses for ED White against Sandalwood as the squad secured a 49-6 win. The Commanders haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

ED White found their leader in sophomore Boylston, who threw for 137 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 58 yards. 82 of Boylston's passing yards were hauled in by King Mercer.
ED White was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 160 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
One reason for the win was ED White's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Josiah Smith was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last three games he's played. Rajon Riley was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Oakleaf never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on First Coast with a sharp 24-0 win. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 177th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
ED White's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Oakleaf, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. ED White has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 268.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Oakleaf struggles in that department as they've been averaging 162.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
ED White lost to Oakleaf at home by a decisive 28-14 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Commanders, Chris 'Deuce' Foy II (who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
