Flathead is 1-9 against Sentinel since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Braves will square off against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Flathead will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Capital, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Braves came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 11-6 on Saturday. With that victory, the Braves brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
June Stickney made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Lily Anderson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Lake, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Sentinel put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 19-14 win over Skyview. The Spartans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Like Flathead, Sentinel also got a great game from a two-way player: Alyssa Hanninen. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hanninen was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-6 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
Sentinel was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .465. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Flathead's record now sits at 2-4. As for Sentinel, their record is now 6-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Flathead has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sentinel struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Flathead skirted past Sentinel 7-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
