Make it five blowout wins for the Hemlock Huskies this season. They claimed a resounding 63-30 victory over Standish-Sterling at home. The win was familiar territory for Hemlock who now have three in a row.
Leading Hemlock to victory were Carly Siler and Lauren Borsenik. Siler scored 13 points along with six assists, while Borsenik scored 12 points along with five steals. Borsenik is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Hannah Borsenik was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals and two blocks.
Hemlock pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.92 points. As for Standish-Sterling, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Hemlock will be playing in front of their home fans against Michigan Lutheran Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Standish-Sterling, they will head out on the road to face off against Oscoda at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Oscoda will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Standish-Sterling is ranked 113th).
