Southeast (11-12, 5-5) is red-hot, having won four straight games, the longest such streak in Central State Eight. Four of those wins came in the past week, includinga 3-2 victory over Williamsville and a 12-0 win over Lanphier.
Southeast went from 240 to 204 in the national rankings since last week after going 4-0 in the past seven days.
Springfield's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 25 hits and 16 walks, both of which led the league. The Senators have given up a mere 171 hits on the year in addition to compiling 127 strikeouts.
Luke Lavin is the leader in that category with 35 Ks on the season.
