Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beaver). They blew past the Water Canyon Wildcats 24-2 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Braylee Carter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Beaver got a massive performance out of Taylee Ashworth, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Ashworth has posted since back in March. Jaeley Smith was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Beaver was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Beaver's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Water Canyon, they are on a 35-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.
