With a playoff win on the line, Tri-Township rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Bowman Academy Eagles 25-2. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Kade KoselKe was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Tri-Township got a massive performance out of Dillon Stewart, who went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Stewart has posted since back in May of 2024. Ethan Dailey was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs.
Tri-Township always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .725. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
With the victory, Tri-Township broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12. As for Bowman Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.
