The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Leland in their matchups with West Tallahatchie: they've now lost three in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Mi'Kenzi Christian, who scored 20 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of West Tallahatchie's points.
Leland's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for West Tallahatchie, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Simmons the next time they take the court. Leland will host Simmons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while West Tallahatchie will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
