The Rider Raiders were the 51-42 winner over the Northwest Texans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Rider took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Texans on Friday. Rider has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Rider still got an impressive performance from Caiden Reed, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Reed is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Cohee, who scored three points along with two steals.
Rider has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Northwest, their win bumped their record up to 10-22.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Saginaw the next time they take the court. Rider will head out to face the Rough Riders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Texans will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
