Littlestown is 9-1 against York County Tech since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Thunderbolts will host the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Littlestown is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since March 17, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Biglerville by a score of 3-1. Thunderbolts fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Canners since Tuesday.
Colton Kabrick put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That hit was his first of the season.
Kabrick wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Bossom, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That hit marked the first that Bossom has got this season.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when York County Tech and York Catholic meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Spartans took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fighting Irish.
Tyler Quickle was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Logan Cheramie was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
York County Tech now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Littlestown, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Littlestown's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Thunderbolts have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for York County Tech, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Littlestown continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Littlestown's way against York County Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Littlestown made off with a 15-4 victory. Do the Thunderbolts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
