After losing to the Northwest Rankin Cougars the last time they met, the Brandon Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Brandon came out on top in a nail-biter against Northwest Rankin on Friday and snuck past 48-46.
It was another big night for Nate White, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Brandon's points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Barnes, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Brandon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Northwest Rankin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Oak Grove at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Oak Grove is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Northwest Rankin, they will head out on the road to face off against Pearl at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
