Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The White Pine Bobcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 63-0 loss at the hands of Lake Mead Academy. White Pine has not had much luck with Lake Mead Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
It was another big night for Jerry Meyer iii, who threw for 191 yards and six touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes. Meyer iii has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last nine times he's played. Christian Rhodes also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.
White Pine's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lake Mead Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
White Pine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lake Mead Academy will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Incline at 1:00 p.m. Incline is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
