If The Lakeview Centennial Patriots were riding high off their 35-14 takedown of the Rowlett Eagles last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lakeview Centennial was outmatched by Wylie East at home and fell 62-14. Lakeview Centennial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-0.
It was another big night for Howard Fisher iv, who threw for 123 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Joseph Wyatt, who picked up 29 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Lakeview Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Wylie East, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Lakeview Centennial will head out on the road to face off against Naaman Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Naaman Forest is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Wylie East will take on Rowlett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rowlett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 524th, while Wylie East is ranked 79th).
