The Sweet Home Panthers won the last time they faced the Mount St. Mary Academy Thunder, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Sweet Home breezed by Mount St. Mary Academy at home to the tune of 70-10. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-4.
Sweet Home's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Erin Clemens-Regan, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Amber Murak was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Sweet Home and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Sweet Home will be playing in front of their home fans against Orchard Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Orchard Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Sacred Heart Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
