Basketball Recap: Nathaniel Byers and Micah Wise Secure Win for Bethany Christian

Bethany Christian won the last time they faced CHASE and things went their way on Thursday too. Bethany Christian blew past CHASE 76-56.

Bethany Christian was led to victory by Micah Wise and Nathaniel Byers. Wise went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points and five assists, while Byers shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Byers has scored at least a third of Bethany Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luca Halalau, who posted ten points and seven assists.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Bethany Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Bethany Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for CHASE, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bethany Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Immanuel Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for CHASE, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-37 victory against Juniata Christian on the 13th.
