A big 22-point second quarter helped carry
St. Bonaventure (Ventura, Calif.) to a 43-0 victory over Simi Valley (Calif.) on Saturday.

St. Bonaventure was up 36-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Town to
Zachary Green in the first quarter.
SB expanded its lead to 43 points entering the fourth quarter. The Ventura school's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by Green.
The Seraphs' most effective player was Town. The sophomore quarterback threw three touchdowns.
The Pioneers came in surrendering 17.4 points per game this season. Coming into the game St. Bonaventure had allowed 20.5 points per game this year. SB held firm on the defensive front, and kept Simi Valley well below the 27.4 points it had been averaging per game.
A 34-0 St. Bonaventure victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Simi Valley, which notched a 44-12 victory over Golden Valley in its previous outing. The loss snapped SV's 3-game winning streak.
St. Bonaventure (6-1) goes up against Newbury Park in a Marmonte - East game matchup next week, while Simi Valley (4-2) locks horns with Royal also in a Marmonte - East game.
