Freehold Township will challenge Central Regional on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close contest.
Freehold Township had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They were given a punishing 0-37 loss at the hands of Middletown South. Freehold Township were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-23.
Meanwhile, Central Regional came up short against Howell last week, falling 12-21. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Central Regional.
Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
