Oak Park is 1-9 against Central since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Last Thursday, Oak Park earned a 47-39 victory over Fort Osage. Given Oak Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Fort Osage is ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Central, who are still winless after their seventh match. They took a 39-21 bruising from Grandview on Thursday.
Oak Park has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
Everything came up roses for Oak Park against Central when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 59-27 victory. Will Oak Park repeat their success, or does Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
