On Friday Edison take on Hale at 7:00 PM. Edison don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Edison had a rough outing against Bishop Kelley two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Edison made easy work of Coweta last Thursday and carried off a 49-18 victory. Junior Sevion Morrison, who rushed for 419 yards and 6 touchdowns, was a major factor in Edison's success. This marked the 6th match in which Morrison has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Hale, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They were given a punishing 0-49 loss at the hands of McAlester. Hale were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-35.
Edison's win lifted them to 2-4 while Hale's defeat dropped them down to 1-5. The Edison defense got after the quarterback against Coweta to the tune of four sacks, so Hale's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the game.
