Rocori had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Detroit Lakes on Tuesday. The Spartans were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Lakers. The Spartans have beaten the Lakers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lakers has come to flipping the script.

Rocori got a massive performance out of Jace Griffin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Griffin's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Heying, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Rocori pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Detroit Lakes, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
