The Fairview Eagles will face off against the Green Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fairview headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Menifee County let them put that streak behind them. The Eagles came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 11-6 on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Eli Cummings was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Fairview is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-10 otherwise. Cummings was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tevin Smith, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. He has become a key player for Fairview: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Good, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Green ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Peebles 7-6.
Like Fairview, Green also got a great game from a two-way player: Jonathan Knapp. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Knapp has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Gabe Blevins was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Mason Neal was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
The win got Fairview back to even at 12-12. As for Green, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fairview has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Green struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Fairview came out on top in a nail-biter against Green in their previous matchup last Tuesday, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
