Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nazareth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vanessa McManus, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Sanai Yates was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Nazareth's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Chandler, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
After both having extra time off, Nazareth and Archbishop Molloy will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Chandler will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cesar Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
