Two dominant signal callers in Malik Gee and Hudson Hoffman are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Chapel Hill Bulldogs will challenge the Bridge City Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill has given up an average of 33.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Chapel Hill took a loss when they played away from home back in October, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Henderson with a sharp 56-35 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Damarcion Blaylock produced another solid effort rushing for 220 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 67 receiving yards and one TD. Chapel Hill also got a significant boost from Lemuel Stinson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 191 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chapel Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 469 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Chapel Hill's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out Vince Howard four times. Leading the way was Payton Bonner with two sacks. Bonner is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least eight every time he's taken the field this season. Jeremiah White was another major factor on D, making 18 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Bridge City and Hargrave meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Cardinals made off with a 22-21 win over the Falcons.
Chapel Hill better focus on containing Ashton Sumrall and Abraham Munguia as the pair were huge in Bridge City's win. Sumrall rushed for 121 yards and one score, while Munguia rushed for 33 yards and one touchdown.
Bridge City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ethan Hernandez. Another thorn in Hargrave's side was Bryce Breeden, who picked up two sacks, forced two fumbles, and made seven total tackles.
Chapel Hill's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Bridge City, their record is now 9-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game as Chapel Hill and Bridge City have no problem gaining yardage. The Bulldogs have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 474.9 total yards per game. However, it's not like Bridge City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 356.2 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
