The Capital Cougars will face off against the Riverside Warriors at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Riverside took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Capital, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with six  losses in a row, Capital  turned things around against Ripley  on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Vikings  8-7.
 Faithanna Hall was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Hall was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Jadan Bishop was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She also put up a  triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Ella Sedosky, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Riverside's offense. They came up short against  Cabell Midland on Tuesday, falling  13-0. Having soared to a lofty 16  runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Riverside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Shaylea Blackhurst, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base.
 Capital picked up their first home  victory, bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Riverside,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 5-3 record.
