Basketball Game Preview: George Walton Academy Bulldogs vs. Tallulah Falls Indians

George Walton Academy is 2-8 against Tallulah Falls since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The George Walton Academy Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Tallulah Falls Indians at 6:00 p.m. George Walton Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, George Walton Academy earned a 47-38 win over Loganville Christian Academy. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Lions are ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

George Walton Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lora Kate Malcom led the charge by going 10 for 13 on her way to 24 points. The dominant performance gave Malcom a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Hill, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Tallulah Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 48-33 to Athens Academy.

Tallulah Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for George Walton Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

George Walton Academy lost to Tallulah Falls on the road by a decisive 42-28 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can George Walton Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
